Each year, several staff members of Arizona River Runners and our sister company, Grand Canyon Whitewater, attend the America Outdoors Conference. This gathering of outfitters from across the country (and the world) offers seminars for continuing education, networking opportunities, and helps us stay up-to-date with industry standards. The trade show allows us to check out the latest equipment and resources available to keep our trips running smoothly.
This year, we all gathered in Salt Lake City, Utah for the America Outdoors Conference. One of the nights at the conference was a social event where costumes were encouraged. The ARR team dressed as Hawaiian Santa with ARR Hawaiian shirts, leis, and santa hats. We really appreciate the time spent together and the opportunity to meet with others who love the outdoors as much as we do. We already have lots of ideas for next season!
There was also a service project that we donated some time to help make sleeping mats out of plastic bags to send to refugee camps overseas. What a great network of people to be connected too! We are looking forward to next year already.
