Trip Itinerary

Las Vegas Option: If you choose to fly into Las Vegas, then you will need to arrive at least two days before the trip in Vegas, then make your way to the South Rim Village the day before your trip. We will provide you with a list of transportation options upon booking your river trip.

South Rim Option: If you choose to drive to the South Rim Village on your own, then plan on arriving at least one day before your trip.

South Rim Lodging: You will want to stay at the South Rim Village in Grand Canyon National Park the night before you hike in. As rooms book up quickly, please book your room as soon as possible. Reservations open 13 months in advance. To book lodging, visit Xanterra at

Meet our hiking guide bright and early to hike down the intense 8-mile (13km) hike into the canyon on the Bright Angel Trail with your pack. This trail is well maintained, but it is all downhill with about 1 mile of elevation loss from rim to river. Most of the trail is in full sun. There are many log steps built into the trail to help prevent erosion and many switchbacks. Once you reach the river, repack your bags and board the raft.

As you are hiking down to the river, you will be joining a group that has already been rafting together for several days. These guides and guests are on our longer full canyon trip and they will help orient you to life on the river when you arrive.

Enjoy the cooler weather in the Grand Canyon while you make your way downriver from a grand vista to a clear blue stream or a class 10 rapid! Each night, cozy up under the stars or hang around the campsite with your new found friends.
Enjoy one final riverside meal amidst the Grand Canyon backdrop. After breakfast, pack up camp, load the raft, and boat to Diamond Creek. From there guests will ride a bus to Peach Springs, AZ. An air-conditioned charter bus will be waiting to return guests to Las Vegas, NV or the South Rim if you select one of those transportation options. Plan to arrive at your final destination mid- to late-afternoon.

“My whole family slept under the stars each night. We would go to sleep with the moon and invariably wake up to more stars than I have ever seen before. It was absolutely breathtaking!! The hikes were the highlight of each day. The Canyon has so many hidden, unexpected sights along the way :)”
