Trip Itinerary

Las Vegas Option: Most guests start their trip in Las Vegas. Plan to arrive at least one day before your trip departs. We will advise guests on reservation instructions for the designated pick-up hotel when you book your river trip.

South Rim Grand Canyon Option: (subject to availability) Some guests can drive their own vehicle to the South Rim instead of meeting in Las Vegas. Park at the South Rim and take a shuttle to Marble Canyon the day before your trip. Stay at the Marble Canyon Lodge the night before the trip. Contact our office to confirm the availability of this option.

Las Vegas guests will meet a representative early in the morning at the designated hotel. Board the shuttle for the scenic five-hour drive to Marble Canyon. Everyone will meet the guides for orientation and you will repack your gear into the provided dry bags before heading downriver. Let the journey begin!
Each day there are opportunities to soak up the Grand Canyon vistas, experience the biggest whitewater in North America, and explore various side canyons, waterfalls, and streams. At midday, lunch is prepared on the sandy beaches next to the river. After a full day, it will be time to set up camp and then relax while sharing stories with new friends. As the sun sets over the walls of the canyon, appreciate a good night’s rest under a starry sky.

Our hiker's special trips are typically split into three different trip options. We will have guests like you join us to raft through the full canyon, whereas others are only signed up for part of the trip. About halfway through, there will be an exchange of guests. Some will hike out of the canyon via the Bright Angel Trail and others will hike in to meet you on the river. Please expect some downtime on this day while we welcome our new passengers.

Enjoy one final riverside meal amidst the Grand Canyon backdrop. After breakfast, pack up camp, load the rafts, and boat to Diamond Creek. From there, guests will ride a bus to Peach Springs, AZ. An air-conditioned charter bus will be waiting to return guests to Las Vegas, NV, or the South Rim (if available) if you select one of those transportation options. Plan to arrive at your final destination mid- to late-afternoon.

What people say

“The flowers were fabulous and the rocks incredible. Reading about the geology is interesting but seeing it up close is amazing! The only way to truly appreciate the majesty of this canyon is from the river.”
— Linda, Menasha, WI

“I loved the fact that I was totally disconnected - no cells, no email, no work. I was able to feel like a youngster again - play all day, get dirty, play in the water, laugh with friends, play under waterfalls, climb rocks, have someone cook meals for me, and go to sleep when it's dark and get up with sun.”
— Lori, Wailuku, HI
