You will need to arrive in Las Vegas the day before your trip. We recommend staying at the Desert Rose Resort, where we pick you up the morning of your river trip. This non-casino resort is a 5-minute walk from Las Vegas Boulevard (“The Strip”).

If you have any trouble with the online booking process or you need to make any adjustments to your existing reservation, call Extra Holidays Vacations at 800-347-9092. For new reservations, be sure to mention the rate plan called “rivertrip”. For existing reservations, have your confirmation number handy when you call. Please book your room as soon as possible as rooms fill up quickly.

ARR rates are usually $149-$285 per night depending on dates and room selection.

Once you’ve made your reservation, we ask that you update the lodging field on your online registration form.

Airport Transportation

You will need to take a cab or airport bus from McCarran International Airport to the Desert Rose Resort (less than 2 miles). Follow signs in baggage claim to locate pick-up locations.


Regardless of where you stay in Las Vegas, you may park your vehicle at the Desert Rose while on your raft trip. Be sure to inform the concierge desk and park where they advise. We recommend that you do not store luggage or valuables in your vehicle. Neither Arizona River Runners nor Desert Rose Resort will be responsible for damage to, or loss of, the vehicle, its contents or luggage stored at the Desert Rose while on your trip.

Luggage Storage

Desert Rose Resort will store your non-river luggage while on your trip for $5/bag for hotel guests and $15/bag for ARR river guests not staying at the hotel. All bags must have name tags and locks and should be brought to the front desk before meeting time.
