Review of her May 4, 2025, 7 Day Motor trip
“My husband and our two adult daughters just completed our week long trip (May 4 – 10) with Tristan, Coleman and Emily. Because my professional background (I was a small business owner in Jackson, Wyoming) absolutely required excellent customer service in order to keep clientele returning, I feel compelled to write and tell you how much we appreciated the level of service we received on our trip! I imagine that safety is the #1 requirement of sending clients into “the Great Unknown”, so when a guide can accomplish that PLUS provide energy, a buoyant personality, leadership, and a vast knowledge of all things Grand Canyon… that is just an added bonus.
I’m sure you already know this, but Tristan provides all that plus more. We knew within an hour of boarding Tristan’s raft that his personality and Grand Canyon knowledge would make our week exceptional, which it did! He never faded in his enthusiasm, even though I’m sure he was exhausted from the 24/7 days. He displayed true leadership skills and set the bar high for his team of Coleman and Emily. I believe that exceptional employees should be recognized and I am sure that Arizona River Runners appreciate Tristan’s exceptional skills and I hope he is recognized for these skills.
We felt 100% safe on the river; the camp experience was hilariously fun because our guides encouraged interaction via switching rafts and seats so our group gelled amazing well right off the bat; the side trips were well organized; the Talent Show and Circle Up (last night) enhanced the cohesiveness of our group. I was constantly amazed at the leadership, enthusiasm and energy exhibited by Tristan. I understand how unusual it is to have a staffer who can do their job well AND add their own personality touches to the experience. Thank you Tristan.
Because of Tristan, Coleman and Emily, I will recommend your company to anyone heading down The Colorado, without hesitation.
