3 Day Escape - South Rim Arrival and Parking Information

Our 3 Day Escape South Rim offers the unique opportunity to see the best of the Grand Canyon from the rim and the river. Your trip will begin at Grand Canyon Airport south of the town of Tusayan, OUTSIDE of the park (see map at right or click here for additional local maps). Due to the remoteness of the area, we recommend arriving in your own vehicle/rental and using the information below to help you plan your visit before and after your rafting trip with Arizona River Runners.

Free parking is available at the airport. Park at the north end of the main parking airport lot, near the Grand Canyon Airlines Terminal, 3555 Airport Road, Grand Canyon Village, AZ 86023.

If you are not driving a personal vehicle, check with your hotel BEFORE your trip to inquire about shuttle and/or taxi options to the Grand Canyon Airport. Grand Canyon Airport is a small regional airport and does not have shuttle service from outside the immediate area.

We highly recommend that everyone make lodging arrangements in the park or in the town of Tusayan the night before your trip. Road closures, flat tires, accidents, and oversleeping are all reasons that we discourage making a long drive on the morning of your trip. We cannot hold the trip if you encounter an unexpected delay.

Last minute shopping for travel essentials, gifts, snacks, beer, wine, and liquor is available at the Tusayan General Store. Please remember, no glass bottles on your trip.
