Since 1970 Arizona River Runners has provided quality Grand Canyon rafting adventures to tens of thousands of satisfied guests. With over 45 years of experience and feedback from thoughtful passengers, we have honed our skills to create a thoroughly enjoyable trip. Our specialty is Grand Canyon Rafting. We have chosen to center on one river and do it well.
ARR requires extra training and time on the river (beyond what is required by the National Park Service) before receiving boatman or trip leader status. Our guides enjoy additional employee benefits, so there is always a waiting list to recruit the very best from around the world.
ARR provides the latest in camping gear: sleeping cots (or self-inflating pads on the oar trips), seasonal sleeping bags, pillows, camp chairs, waterproof bags, and double-door, 2-person, 3-season tents. All trips have top of the line coolers to keep food fresh for 13 days or more.
Anyone with a sense of outdoor adventure will enjoy this trip. You do not need to have previous rafting or camping experience to participate in any of our trips. We pride ourselves on our customer service – from our office staff to our river guides – we give our best to making your trip safe and memorable.
Our company is passionate and committed to a pristine and healthy Colorado River system and National Park. We've partnered with Grand Canyon National Park Service to restore native species and maintain re-growth sites. We are currently partnering with Grand Canyon River Outfitters Association to develop clean energy motors for the park and with Leave No Trace to educate guests about minimizing human impact.
We love our motor rig! The ARR S-Rig offers comfortable, accessible, and the most ergonomically correct seating available. Arizona River Runners is a proactive industry leader in using the cleanest outboard motor technology available. Furthermore, we use low drag tubes and an enhanced rig structure to reduce fuel consumption. Our oar rigs are top of the line, self-bailing rafts.
